All LEAs with students who are registered with the RCVI should following the steps described in this video to complete student account updates for the annual Federal Quota Program census. Questions may be directed to [email protected] or [email protected]

hello everyone this video will guide you through updating student information for the federal quota program which is the annual registration of eligible students who are blind in low vision that begins in January before we begin if you have new students please complete an RCV student registration form for each student and email it to Deanna Rivera at TSB tigers.org Edition Ally if any students are no longer enrolled in your District please send their names along with the reason such as graduated or moved the first thing you would do is visit our website which is our CVI claus.com once you're there you will be on our login screen you will log in under your SRT account do not use your D account on the next screen click on the menu bar to confirm you are logged in under the correct account next scroll down to find students slash districts and click on it here you will see 3 Fields skip over the first 3 fields and scroll down to to type click on the drop-down Arrow select student and search you should now see a list of all students registered to your District click on a student's name that you would like to update this will take you to the students main Details page and just a reminder you will need to update each student individually to make sure the students first and last name are correct and that their date of birth is correct primary instructional language should already be set to English for federal quota eligible a category should already be selected but please update it if necessary here is a reminder of the categories function at the definition of blindness is for students with CVI or other complex needs meets the definition of blindness is for students that are legally blind based on visual Acuity or visual field idea for students who have visual impairment eligibility on an IEP and are not otherwise eligible as FDB or MDB most students in this category can be considered low vision not fq eligible or for students who do not qualify for federal quota but may still qualify for our CVI service such as students with a 504 plan type of educational program a selection should already be in place however please update this field if the students educational plan type has changed registration type rcbi staff will handle this field so it can be skipped parent permission parent permission forms are required only for students who qualify for the federal court of registration it is the district's response ability to collect this form from the parent and upload it into 10 pulse if this form is already signed and updated to post it does not have to be completed again we do not need a copy of this form additional fields to update greyed primary and secondary reading medium other reading medium optional but in most cases it should be left blank last eye exam date enter the most up-to-date I report information available for F key registration there is no longer a requirement for an up-to-date I report but it is best practice for students to visit their eye doctor annually diagnosis update if needed rcbi will handle the AP qualified and neimus qualified field so you can skip over that plan start date enter the date of the student's specific educational plan this date ensures students registered with our maybe I have active educational plans acuities update if needed visual field in information for this you should not check this box unless the students visual field is significantly restricted and they qualify as legally blind if the student meets these criteria enter any information about the visual field restriction in the description box here for Update note at any notes that may be Arielle relevant or helpful months all Fields have been reviewed and updated scroll down and click save changes repeat this process for all students registered with rcvisions or need assistance please please reach out thank you
