TENNESSEE REGIONAL

BRAILLE CHALLENGE

February 21, 2019

The Braille Challenge®, a national program of Braille Institute, is a two-stage academic contest, sponsored by Braille Institute, designed to motivate school-age braille readers to excel in this vital medium. Hundreds of students will participate in over 40 regionals which will be held in at least 30 states and 3 Canadian provinces.

Students from across the state of Tennessee and the surrounding area are invited to participate in the thirteenth annual regional contest hosted at the Tennessee School for the Blind on February 21, 2019.

In addition to participating in the contest, students have time to socialize over a pizza lunch, participate in some entertainment activities, and be recognized at the closing assembly. Cash prizes are given for students with the top three scores in each level.

The contest is divided into five academic levels. All students are encouraged to participate: however, students must compete on grade level to be eligible for the National Finals in June, held in California.
