With 2017 being the Centennial Year Celebration of The International Association of LIONS Clubs, each club was encouraged to perform a Community Project. In celebration with Tennessee School for the Blind, located in the Donelson LIONS Club area, the club members voted to do something special for the school. They gave a beautiful granite bench to commemorate the occasion. The bench was installed in the outdoor alcove just to the left of the main entrance on Thursday, December 8, 2016. It just happened to be completed in time for the annual gathering of the LIONS at TSB for LIONS Day. LIONS Club members from across the state to see the solid contribution. In its present location, it provides a sheltered spot when waiting for a ride and is easily seen by staff, students, and visitors. It’s also a nice place to sit in good weather to enjoy the outdoors. Thank you Donelson LIONS Club for thinking of our students!
