Temporary Switch to Distance Learning (Jan 2022)

Greetings TSB Families,

Due to the sharp increase in the number of COVID cases among students and staff, TSB will transition to remote learning next week, January 10th through 13th. Teachers will be reaching out to families Monday morning to provide an update and discuss the instructional plan for the week. Virtual parent-teacher conferences are still scheduled for Friday, January 14th. Please reach out to your child’s teacher for more information about conferences. In-person learning will resume after the Martin Luther King holiday on Tuesday, January 18th with residential students busing back to campus on Monday, January 17th.

Introducing the 2021 Tennessee Regional Braille Challenge

The Braille Challenge®, a national program of Braille Institute, is a two-stage academic contest, sponsored by Braille Institute, designed to motivate school-age braille readers to excel in this vital medium. Hundreds of students will participate in over 40 regionals which will be held in at least 30 states and 3 Canadian provinces.

Lion's Day Today!

Lions Clubs gather on the campus of TSB to bring love, good cheer, and gifts for the Christmas holiday. This tradition began in 1957 and has become one of the highlights of the children's school year. Thanks Lions, for all that you are and do for our students! 2021 Title I Virtual Meeting Announced

The 2021 annual title I parent meeting has been announced. It will be held on Monday, September 20th from 4:30-5:30 PM CST via Zoom. The meeting will be hosted TSB Principal Dr. Tonja Dandy.

Learning Braille in Prison

Tennessee’s Prison Braille Program is excelling in providing materials to students across the state. This is a great partnership between TSB, TRICORE, and TDOC.
