EXPERIENCE
Mr. Roberson is a native Tennessean (born; educated; raised; lives).  Upon graduation from Gallatin High School - Gallatin, TN (1990), he attended the University of Tennessee - Knoxville where he graduated with his undergraduate degree in education (1996).  Beginning his career in the state of Georgia in 1996, Mr. Roberson returned to Tennessee (in 1997) and has been teaching here ever since.  In 2003, he completed his masters degree in education from Middle Tennessee State University.
 
Mr. Roberson brings an extensive depth of knowledge in education to Tennessee School for the Blind (TSB).  He has taught in many special education environments - pull-out programs; self-contained; behavior; specialized areas.  His experience also includes teaching in all academic (general education areas) - language arts; social studies; science; math.  Students in Mr. Roberson's classrooms have ranged from Kindergarten age all the way to adulthood.
 
In August 2021, Mr. Roberson came to the Tennessee School for the Blind as a middle/high school teacher.  He moved into his current role as the Transition Coordinator for the TSB school district in October 2024.
 
As the school district's Transition Coordinator, Mr. Roberson's brings more than 25+ years of experience in the field of education to the table.  His goal is to make sure all students have a clear path toward a successful future when they leave TSB.
