Dr. Cason-Clemons is originally from Wilson County, where she currently lives with her husband, three children, and two grandchildren. She earned her undergraduate degree in Child Growth and Development with a focus on Mild to Moderate Special Education (K-12) and a minor in Psychology from Cumberland University in 2000. In 2008, she obtained her master’s degree in Public Service Management from the same university. Additionally, she completed her Education Specialist (Ed.S.) and Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Administration and Leadership in 2020 at Trevecca Nazarene University. With a total of 24 years of experience in student assistance and 14 years of teaching exceptional education, Dr. Cason-Clemons is committed to developing a Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Transition program at the Tennessee School for the Blind. This program is designed to prepare students for life after TSB, encouraging their independence and helping each student to explore college and career interests, ultimately aiming to empower them to become contributing members of society.
