all right so I just started recording didn't miss too much before I remembered that where let me I have stopped video on Sunday alright so what's continue here so we're excited about the Universal Academy you know if you guys realize that there are topics that are not being discussed that you think are big hitters that needs to be touched on I can already think of some topics that would be nice to touch on in some form or fashion we will absolutely look for ways to bring those to these kinds of events or to discuss at our three times a year quarterly Vision Consortium meetings which we are also really excited for as far as a gathering of vision teachers to discuss the big topics so those may be good forms to talk about those topics so yeah so I think that's what I got to say about Unity Virtual Academy really excited about all of this and I'm glad that you guys are here today starting this off for the year and I'm glad to be talking to you guys about what is going on at the resource center as well as talking about some updates and maybe a bit about isn't that I have or where we can grow the resource center to be of Greater benefit to Vision teachers here in Tennessee so alright so I'm going to almost do another hello in an update so I am the new director of the resource center in so that's why I'm here today giving this presentation today I took over for dr. Seekers to have been the director for the last several years she's done some amazing things Resource Center you know she has a breadth of Knowledge from starting these kinds of things up from scratch and so it was amazing to see or help us go from paper orders to digital you know and I'm in the back and you're in our building get organized in a way that what is just truly amazing and so I think it's been Felt 8 wide that the impact she has had on experience for teachers and students across the state hace Sol let's how much do this last thing up there if any of you guys did not receive an email from me and I like a newsletter about this event and other art Resource Center update with your contact information in the chat or send me an email I'll put that in the trash and I'll add you to our newsletter I would love you add you on there so you can know the latest and greatest that's coming out of here and announcements that I want might want to me and share with all of you guys all right so finally we're going to get why you guys are here so what you guys can expect for the rest of today is I'm going to try to just go give an overview I'm going to demonstrate walking through doing orders with the resource center can kind of see a step-by-step of how we kind of hope that you guys will feel about this and here are very seasoned they used to placing orders maybe you'll see something new I'm going to point out some changes and updates that should make your experience a little bit better and then then we'll move into car talking about where Center can you possibly grow and and and also asked for your input on things that you wonder whether the resource answer can be of help in a certain way about those kinds of steaks so let's get started here we go are you guys all seeing the tsp homepage anybody let me know about that I got a yes okay cool hold on I'm trying to make sure I can okay yes yes ok Google check in before I get going here alright so just so you guys know right this is the Tennessee School for the Blind homepage which is tsbtigers. Or you can eat it at the top of the address bar this is always great one-stop-shop to find resources related to tsp but also I wanted to highlight their Resource Center okay which houses have next to outreach which is also related that I I'm over now but today we're going to talk about the resource center and I want to talk about some updates I'm in the I'm in the process of putting these updates in place but I'm going to direct you to go to rcbi home if you're ever interested as I tried to put some more information on here that will be of immediate just what should I do if you have questions so as you scroll down you'll see welcome some announcements getting started section where the it guys help me put together this little Shu start thing we have common questions that come up like who is eligible for services with the reefs which is virtually anybody in the state who has a visual impairment with the the level of service will vary depending on what their visual impairment looks like Google there will be more information about that posted overtime you might have questions like I need to order I'm ready to go where you can link straight to the login screen which I will go to shortly or you can look for it in the ordering section in the toolbar on the right all right if you're not if you're not ready to order and you have other questions they might be I need to register a new student or services with rcbi and if they've transferred from out-of-state they're not going to be in our system or maybe they're a young student and so otherwise it'll whatever reason they wouldn't be in our system and so this is where we're going to ask that you guys still out an application for service form on getting call or hang up sorry we're going to ask that you guys bought the application for service form links here or in the Forum section which is also in the right-hand full bar this is updated form for those of you guys to use this form in the past I just tried to change the formatting and structure of the form to make a make a little more streamlined and easy to follow but those can be completed I sent back to Jenna Rivera one of our administrative assistants in the building and she'll take care of all of that for you I mean just click on it so you guys see what it looks like aren't you guys seen that on here when the zoom in a little bit nice logo hear some eligibility statements and what will ask is that you guys fill out student information this is what goes directly into our system important that whatever you put in here is reflective reflective of what your students I Reports say anytime you have questions about something you excrete to touch base with me about what you should say what you should check with think about accessible media will we also like to know is what's the students primary secondary tertiary literacy mode so that I can cross reference since I may not be familiar with if I notice you place a order for the Braille version of a book but I checked the students record with you for every order and I see that this soon noted as primary Visual and I'm probably going to email you asking you to double-check that you meant to order the Braille version of the book as supposed to potentially large prints we are we also as we have been requesting that we get the signature of your District special ed supervisor that's how you feeling formation is. directly in or you know the plan is on file in the district from there we want you would like you guys to put your District information on this line you know we added some stuff some other folks who are you can register with rcbi and then lastly something that we have to put at the end of the form here as an option for districts is knowing is cuckoo and you like to either one's associated with your student in your District some districts have many people and you know if if you're interested you know we have the option of not necessarily blanket associating every kid with every order because sometimes that's just a lot to manage and so if you wanted to set yourselves up order is for certain grade ranges or certain School clusters however you might want to set it up we can do it that way but generally speaking your weekend whoever you guys put on here and we hopefully will already have those people in our system if not we'll need to get a new ordering designee form so that you guys can uniformly get that person approved with your district and us as someone who can order for students here at least you guys all have a good system that works ordering through one person or ordering for yourself that sort of thing so you know not definitely not telling people you got to do it one way or another all right let me close that bad all right all right so what if a student has transferred into your district from another District in Tennessee well that's simple because will probably be in our system and so you can just give us a call or an e-mail specifically Deanna is a good first step for you and you just let her know you know so and so has moved to my district from this other District can you transfer the students over to to me so I can order for them and we can do that and you know less than 20 seconds I think I actually people in the in the in our meeting today I have done that this school year so just know that it's moving within Tennessee just give us a call we can make that happen or until we're going to get back to the designee form with this last bit of the getting started section where if you had Personnel changes in your District specifically for someone new who may want to order of the tsp Bell if you got someone new and your District who may be placing orders for students you will need to use our new Aviation ordering meet born which is how we left school districts uniformly designate that you're these people can place orders essentially their prove to use or no access the federal quota system for the district okay so beginning at the top what I did was at the very top is what we are we're asking for the director school superintendent to sign off that everything blows correct or in this is important because of the matter of local control in an awareness of what is going on in a disc so it's critical that this is handled by the actual superintendent not you know a secondary or tertiary executive in the district so this next step initial registration with RCI will not apply to most Elliott this is mostly for new educational agencies like early intervention agencies which have picked up a little bit school year I more like a homeschool family for private school that sort of thing the most Les will leave this blank this next section is too formally designate who the district Federal quota designee is rent for assuring I'm verifying that the Porter County district is correct and you know important information as listed is on file in District. and then the last page is the actual ordering designee section where we asked at the person's information from name position email and phone number are included so that if necessary and we can let them know what their login information is now if you don't have changes or you know things like a pH quota designee and its really John were you don't have to fill anything else out you'll just need to put the new person's information on here we will still need the superintendent to sign off on on you new Personnel okay if retired in your District you guys can give us a call and we'll make them inactive any questions so far before we move on to the actual ordering website no okay making sure and you guys are free to chime in and ask a question if if it comes up we have plenty of time today I don't think we're going to rain the entire time. That we have a lot in ordering okay like we said you. can get there from the getting started at you've been looking through those or you can go straight to ordering which is on the right hand side School bar and you'll be greeted with the login screen okay and you guys can bookmark this whatever is convenient for you guys so everyone should have a login I know that it says you can use the user ID or email but my understanding is some people have inconsistent access when they use their email so I'm going to log in oh and if you are a new user watching this video and you only have your login ID go straight to forgot your password put in your user idea to write it to you your email and when you can reset it or set it for the first time through that function alright so let's go again and whoa this more words than before dug around a little bit and found a way to add more information on the welcome screen learned a little HTML along the way with my parents proud well nice to know what you'll see is you're very welcome but I've included some ordering tips and a frequently asked questions section as far as ordering is concerned and a lot of this comes straight from materials. who runs the system recommends and so let's walk through some of this so you guys understand what may be considered as best practice for order so the first thing is to begin selecting your students first as opposed to adding items to a material request and then filling in your student sometimes in certain instances students are not associated with your account which leads to the inability to complete okay no worries Stephanie if you're not associated with a student in our system you will not be able to locate their name from the student drop down at the end of the process and I've we've been contacted before with frustration about you getting off play through the order and not being able to complete it or am I losing all their progress which I know can be laborious and we're talkin about ISD and numbers and multiple devices that sort of thing so we are recommending is that you start with your students first by a fine student / districts in the sidebar which is right here on the left and then selecting add material request from that students same page okay so let me just demonstrate this is what we see fine student in District and as long as you type in the student's name I'm going to try mine as a demonstration they should appear and what you'll then do is cook their name from that resulting page and then what you'll do is Select add material request right here from their pitch let's go back to look at do you think we also have both 6-year okay from that page you're going to start collecting items that you search for you can search for items by the ISBN number the ACH catalog number or they're there their title though the title may be less reliable for you because unless it is a relatively close match terminology wise you may find what you're looking for so I highly using the ISBN number for books or eth catalog numbers for those materials see here all right so what you'll do is when you find what you're looking to order you're going to check the box and you're going to select add selected lines to material okay and going to see it appear in a bulleted list on the right side of the screen under material request line and then you're not going to go anywhere else except do the search page the search bar in you're going to repeat the process again and again and again until you are done okay we we ask that you try to add all orders for every student on the same material request okay and so let's get started while I get back into cheer you guys will think about your favorite aph item or book that you might need I will ask for volunteers where can I order for me I'm I've selected my student I'm going to sleep add material request and here's our search for so does anybody have something you think we should be searching for today any ideas well start so I'm going to type in brahler and we'll see what kinds of railriders we have in so the resource center has you know lots of things in its catalogue in most common is commonly requested will be the ath light touch Perkins brailler and that's what I want I'm going to check the box okay and I can select this like this button right here and selected lines to miscarry I'm going to do that the page refresh has okay and on the right side of your screen like I said it has now appeared in my material in a bulleted list this section is what you guys can consider your your shopping cart and I've been telling some people in emails fill up that car before you check out don't order 5 times Amazon like that I don't like that that's just a joke I don't I don't not like it when you do that it's just it does realistically though it does make us do certain processes more time necessary which is the bigger picture reason why we I asked you guys to fill up the material request one big update that we were able to sort out it was a bug in the system that did not let the status accurately reflect the availability of items here at rcbi and so it would always say item not or not yet available and it was very frustrating and scary to a lot of people not sure if proceed in that sort of thing now for the most part four most common items you should see a status along the lines of in stock at rcbi or perhaps All Copy checked out but available for order those two are probably going to be the most commonly noticed because that means that in socket rcbi means we've got it'll ship that day or the next day and it'll get to you pretty quickly alright if you see an item that your Desiring and it says all copies checked out but available for order that means that built-in should still be available for order from whoever has produced the item but we don't have any of those copies in house and it will need to be ordered it will take a bit more time to get to us and then get to you all right let's see here are let out of the few more items does anybody have any thoughts at this point as far as something we should search for I will note this drop down in my experience so far has not made a huge difference so I almost never touched drop down for what you're searching by and I just put in the ice p.m. put in the a p h number four type of phrase any ideas okay so I'm going to open up my trusty aph catalog aren't so sure where is the a p h number for cool new thing that he pH has produced recently the code jumper some of the 1 - 0270 0-0 0 and I'm going to do my search there it is code jumper okay all copies checked out but available for order okay I'm going to check that and then select ads lines do material request and look I have two things in my material request okay let's see here hoping that I can have a nice the end number ready I forgot about that but let's just say you had them that search search physics we've got some more books here lot of them up with John after installing OS to join a player well we'll add that to having fun shopping here now you'll see we have three items in our cart now especially with books you will notice that from time to time you'll search an ISBN number in it and it does not pull up any search results it's possible that newer or just other books have not been produced and requested in Tennessee before those loans have Braille labels will look it up in a second and so if they top 10 requested Sheeran Tennessee before it may not be in our catalog and so we can still look into it and many times get what you're looking for and what you'll do is right here on the right side I'm under material request see the option to add a temp title okay we're going to like that and this is where you can select what you're looking for a real book large large print version of the book we ask that you help us out doing some detective work by inputting the author information the title as accurate as it appears on the book or online the specific ESPN that is needed in class okay I'm by your student workbook okay we need you know take a take a peers student workbook copy that is being number down that's what we want right we have to be careful sometimes because folks inadvertently might send us the ESPN for a 5 pack or the digital student teacher combo is DM in it makes it very difficult to specifically know what we're trying what you're requesting even though it all is all related to the same book so it needs to be as specific as you can get that I and you can provide additional information and distended description section and then click save monograph here okay is where you're going to put information for text if there happens to be you know how effective I score some kind of equipment there's actually down here another option for you to do the exact same thing but for equipment you can start the equipment or software and give us a similarly information about what is missing that you don't think you can find you can click save and it'll go right here and see your material request so I'm going to hit back and you see I still have my my immature Oakcrest load it up and look one and brown label let's see if that comes up labeling marking and organization ship Bridal okay maybe that's what you were looking for his phone so and oh my goodness it's in stock at r c b i going to ship out on Monday so I'm going to click that attitude the material request and there it is okay so at this stage right you may be satisfied in all your books everything all the materials that you're needing to order for giving day and then you can fly back to material request which is really the button that should say and I'm going to look into this it should say your view all items view my car, so you unmuted you have a question that you want to ask this a little while ago I was putting the order in for not done what you said but all the items on 1 Autumn is available in apa magazine and I double check to make sure I had the ISBN number correct and so when I put it in and still would not show yeah right it's probably would do when it's in the catalog and it says it's available but it's not on the ordering two things a pH great question question a pH of beer the process of I think the fancy word that they've been using his obsolescence he's been making a lot of items is it behaving discontinuing and so they're no longer available we're actually there was another item that a tvi here in Tennessee was looking for and it's in the current catalog 2020-21 and and I asked ath about it the current catalog so I don't think it would have been discontinued and they said they have temporarily pulled it because there have been reports that the adhesive on the on the item was not at the problem right and supplier and so it was temporarily not available and so what what I'd like you guys to do is send us an email you can send me an email or Deanna and we will do some research on that item for you okay if it's been discontinued let me think do a search during a pH is website all right and I'll show you what it is if you want to see what I was talking to build a build a cell and it doesn't pull anything up I may need the catalog number is it right that's right there Thunder the plants it's under that radio they didn't have it in in the in the search Molly at work for you but it's my horn told me I'm made of magic is it's very important if you're searching with an ISBN on book you will notice that there are Josh is breaking up that 13 digit is bien all right but is PN searches from the catalog items do you need Bashas right ispn searches do not great and so if it's the way you can think about it is if it's long don't use the dashes if it's shorter okay probably do need it especially when it's a pH okay but now is there is still the possibility what will add your order in here and add that to the cart there are legitimately discontinued items that a pH no longer manufactures but just because they no longer manufacture it and cannot be ordered new does not mean I'm go to take those things and throw them in the trash are rcdi there's some great materials that they simply decided they don't want to make any more but are appreciated by Vision teachers and so we are trying to update how we label things as we discovered them okay and what we're going to do is add a label call discontinued okay and then the system will be able to pair discontinued as a status with whether or not we have any items in our CDI so similar to available available for order or available at our cvid that status update hopefully giving you in Nation about whether or not it you can you can get a hold of it for those slightly older items that you know maybe you've talked for a long time and you knew about it and you knew you used it with us but you know you're wondering can I still get a hold of this even though if pH doesn't make it in hopefully that makes sense for everybody let's let me see if there's anything else we need to double-check what looks like we're ready to check out okay let's go back to work hard I'm going to slick back to material request and again that is the view my cart button do on a select okay do you see everything should be what we wanted to order okay from this screen before purse proceeding I would note that this is where you are going to update the specific quantity of an item you're looking for okay so if you happen to know I've got a lot of labeling I'm going to do it was blown and the folks in Wilson County they've got some kiddos they got a label they might need three chips okay they can update the quantity right here what's update in battle are reflecting our system Okay the reason I bring this up as some folks who are not as familiar with this option will add the item multiple times and it just shows up here in three three consecutive why it's not the biggest deal but this is just another convenient way to only add at 1 time and then change the quantity afterward here in the cart one thing I want I will look into as whether or not cloths can give you the option of specifying a right as you look sad but for now this is this is the best way to do it as far as I can tell so I'm going to I verify that I got everything here that I that I want to what I'm going to do is Select next step right here at the bottom of the material request and because I selected my student right off the bat my my Lea information my information and then my student information is going to show up here and in this specific example it's not because you can't that I selected is not a student account but that would be pre-selected and you can you know how confident that you can proceed with the order we ask that as you guys are ordering you make sure that address being selected is from not from the teacher not from the student that's because our policies we we really really try to only ship to one place or the consistency and assurance. this is a reliable location that our materials and see you will get there we get we can run into a lot of trouble and just more questionable situations when we are shipping to a variety of different address please make sure that your school address which is typically logged as the LA central office or very designated location that that be what you slept in should populate in this great out area on the ordering page from there you can add some shipping instructions if there's anything that you need to tell us about ship via doesn't usually make difference between most everything through why is my mind blanking free matter for the blind except for certain situations where we they used something like FedEx but if you got this point where you selected your student first you previously verified your car looks like the way you want it click this blue button complete the and you are good to go all right let me switch back any questions before I keep moving something I want to touch on there if your order has a specifically books textbooks okay if the copyright date is at this time here in August end of August 2021 for this school year any textbooks with copyright dates of 2008 or older we have gone through a purging process here at the resource center in there no longer available in house are no longer available to order some things may not have been marked withdrawn or removed from our system so they may pop up from time to time but they they will not be able to be ordered so wanted you guys to know that before you place temporary titles for old items that sort of thing classic novels however you know recently I got some orders for books like Frankenstein or you no other classic things those we do still have and will continue to be able to order the the aging process specifically involved textbooks know that all right I am going to take a break to drink some water does anybody have questions I'm going to stop sharing my screen I hope that you guys can see me again is anybody questions that have come up in in this process that I can speak to you not sure about that okay so was tempted to click on Outlook and check my emails but I'm live here guys let's let's get going here and it looks like we are coming onto we're scheduled to finish at 2:30 so I think we were actually right on track so thank you thanks for bearing with me if you think of anything you have a question or I'm dropping in the chat or feel free to interrupt and I will do my best to answer your question so you don't so you guys might be curious about what is going to change or how things are going to go with RCI moving forward and hopefully you seen some of these slight changes to the notifications and information posted on our website on the ordering website I'm trying out this newsletter format of getting information to folks so I'm try I really get the most up-to-date contact information for Les and their TV eyes from across the state and these are all part of you know my mission to make sure that the information is getting to all of you guys and for the most part the resource center you know its core functions of handling your orders is not going to change we are going to continue doing we can to make sure your orders get to you as quickly as possible what what I what I have a goal for as far as gross for the resource center in new ways to be a benefit to you all is a few different things but I think they're the best way to sum it up is that my My Hope Is that we can begin to phase in and and introduce a component of the resource center where we can be of benefit in truly in the instructional since right you know places like rcbi are known in our field as i r c instructional resource center and you know you guys have been ordering and receiving and sending back and forth instructional resources over over the years and what I just like to do is place a emphasis on the word instructional the part of that bears out here with unity Virtual Academy with the availability of these professional development opportunities with moving forward into the future I see and hopefully get past the pandemic there are a few cool things that we'd like to bring bring it to fruition some of that includes potentially getting to build up a short course Tech program here at the SB under the Outreach Resource Center umbrella or we can bring in students and their teachers for short periods of time to give you're high intensity instruction and introduction to you know possibly CC skills like yo independent living or rail introduction or instruction in using screen readers on the computer you know really intense important skills that will serve our students as independent adults when they well independent individuals as they progressed in school and pursue whatever comes in their post-secondary for soup so that's one of the things that I think is really intriguing I think they're some ground work that may allow that to occur sooner than later so have that you know on your radar moving forward you know with things like these are in a virtual capability these days I look forward to recording screencast of the ordering process like I've done for all of you guys here to again highlight all the things that I want you guys to know about ordering from us but also I look forward to recording videos don't call it in and boxing are you young people all right but videos demonstrating an explaining different devices that might be available from aph anywhere else so that  you see these videos the goal would be to empower you with a greater sense of understanding of what what it is all about this kit for me pH is useful for xynz purposes these kinds of students write these kinds of tasks so you can match that with what you know that your students need to do or wow okay this device has this functionality to it that is that really sounds like something that my stupid and so what I'm doing is hopefully going to be able to produce these videos and Inspire some confidence in you and your making for what is going to be best for your kiss right or something that I have always talked about you my background as an assistive technology specialist is we we as best we can need to be making cleavage wise inappropriate decisions for our kids blanket decisions don't really work for our folks because then that words are in the wrong size pegs and the wrong size bolt and so if I can be of benefit helping you guys make those decisions for your kids you know better than I think I've I've accomplished something to making these videos so I look forward to starting bad this year hopefully before Christmas that's my goal for a lot of things but we'll see if that can happen what's the among the sponsors if we need to reactivate a student that homeschooled were moved but come back to our County do we just need to email you that child's name the answer is sent us an email kind of describing what was going on and the student's name and we may touch base with you a little bit but otherwise we can make that we can reactivate them right away County in East Tennessee this week I'm so not not a problem which can hear from you so please let us know thanks along the lines of short course typing program is something that I you know I'm pretty busy these days but if it's possible I would love to periodically make available office hours Virtual Office hours you can get yourself on my schedule or someone else here with the resource center or the Outreach department and do a virtual meeting to discuss a topic that you might have gone could be a student that you're not sure about buying a support for or questions about how to use a device try to get some in-depth hands on time or just you each other walk through what you're experiencing I feel like that's that we can very much put into place for you guys it kind of Falls in line with this concept in the world of professional development called just-in-time professional development which is as you need help you know that there's somewhere you go to get your someone to look at the issue that your experience and so and that's been found to be very effective and if there's any way that we can do that under the resource center umbrella I'm going to try to check these things off as I talk about them videos office hours things like that go on the website you saw that I updated some information I'm going to actually let me share my screen again and so what I am so from the resource center home page you see me back on the website you'll see that I already asked the it guys to put a section in in our site called resources currently it is empty but you can you can look forward to this filling up in the near-term with resources to related to a pH announcements and big initiatives it could be something that teachers across the state have recommended that something that they really like to use websites like no Perkins eLearning great website called apps to technology that I'll be adding on here you know resources that you know again that you can know that with confidence don't you know recommended it and end in what is it someone knows that this is it an additional Hub of great resources and lesson plans and something like that and as much as possible is something that is free and easily accessible I'm going to fill this this page up as quickly as I can with the resources for you to get a hold of so this is absolutely for the TV I out there what's the here couple of more things are and I will stop sharing some more things in the resources or maybe another that isn't your presently is we may explore a place where we can provide some recommendations for best practices in serving students or best practices turn policy type things like how to you know right stuff into the it in an appropriate manner or how to work with test accommodations or know what format to order for your students so for example something that I believe is something that would be considered best practice is if you know that your students is a user of video magnification when when test time comes you you should probably be ordering the or you probably don't need to order a spa large print a copy of the of the state test materials because what the student is used to is using the magnification to act right in as long as that. message in the IP is an appropriate accommodation and a test accommodation you can be ordering you know we we want our students to test the way they've been accessing their materials all year long as far as I can tell. not you know misguided recommendations here and so I would recommend that be something you guys think about now I'm going to run that by some people but that's just an example of something that I may put that sort of information Resource Center not a got to do it this way kind of thing but just a recommendation that we believe will be of him the most benefit to you and your students additional things that we are going to try to do and I think will also be able to happen in the near term is I'm going to look into seeing if the resource center and add its resource library to include 980h material this would mostly consists of a lending library of devices and other items that are not available 3ph know there are oftentimes high-tech devices that can be really appropriate for students that are not a bit not available yet for me pH for may not be just made great strides in the prices of items that they've put out recently but there's still no gaps in what they can provide relative to the broader entire field of visual impairments and so there could be items like flexarm video magnet or you can connect them to the computer and do your transcriptionist on staff recently Carol Lewis who has been that person for us retired and so we currently don't have a transcriptionist here to assist us with those sorts of things however we are looking do you know replace her we are looking into a solution or a part-time replacement right now and then over time we will continue to try to fill that in a full-time capacity that we can secure that or have that structure in place there are some things that I think could be really interesting to look into through the resource center and some other one of them one of them has something called Dina and if you Google that you may find information about a program I believe it's out of the San Francisco Lighthouse for the Blind where they came up with this brilliant software where you can take an address UK and they're soft automatically generate a tackle map of of the of the vicinity near that address and I seen it in practice at a conference and it is is mind-blowing. he is being all the sudden all the streets near TSB work shown up on there with little labels for the street name all automatically right and so I believe there's a way to partner with them to access their server and if there's a way that we can do that and then you know pretty much on the man crate maps for you guys across the state and wouldn't that be awesome and amazing for 09 purposes nature so pencil that down as something that I'm looking at you and then next is this is kind of a big picture thing that it's not necessarily going to be able to happen right away but there's something out there that other states have available it's called On Demand transcription and this is not what what this involves is you can submit a certain number of a worksheets or small files that you might as quickly as 48-hours need to have transcribed into Braille that you can then and especially if you're supporting Grill students and you're one of the only Vision teacher in your District of your one of very few and a special if you don't employ a realist or transcription South Middle School District I imagine this sort of thing could be of incredible value to you now there are on demand transcription Amanda you can Google it there's not a specific website website for the other services like other states have their own stuff but that's the that's the concept that we're going to look into and so and I'm building something what some of the folks who are already doing that so I should learn more about how they handle that for the time plus that may be something that we can do through our partnership with Tennessee imps which if you're not familiar is the broke production program at Riverbend maximum security institution pure Nashville who actually does a lot of the Braille transcription for the books that you guys requests Tennessee so that's potentially a program that can be introduced there so you know I hope this is a list of things that you have found your really intriguing interesting and compelling these are I brought her vision for where the resource center can go a lot of things I'm one person we have a staff that already has jobs that they do everyday and so I'm hoping to do some of this sooner than later can explore adding staff to do certain new things but I'm excited for.
